Carnations will be on sale during lunch today through Friday for $2 each. A red, pink, or white carnation is a great way to say Happy Valentine’s Day. The yearbook staff will deliver the flowers next Tuesday, February 14.
Seniors- the Chattanooga State scholarship application packet is available through the Chattanooga State website. There are three separate scholarships, and you need a 2.0 GPA to qualify. The application process is all online. See Mrs. Dodson if you need help applying.
Juniors please see Mrs. Dodson for permission slips if you are interested in any of the following college visits:
UTK & Carson-Newman on March 15
Sewanee & MTSU on March 28
TN Tech on April 11
The JROTC is conducting a Battalion Service Learning project this year. The project is to raise money for the Price family for their numerous out-of-pocket expenses for Rachel’s treatments.
We will have candy sales for the next two weeks.
And here’s where we need your help….The final fund-raising part is scheduled for Sunday, Feb 19 at the Lion’s Club behind the school. We are going to have an auction of donated items. So far we’ve got two large items (a nice player piano and Wii). We hope to have over 100 items that people can bid on. If you have anything you could donate that may bring some money please let me know what it is and bring it in over the next couple weeks. I think the auction could bring in a couple thousand dollars with the right advertisement and donations, which would really help out the Price family.

Parent/Teacher conferences are next Wednesday, Feb. 15th. Please contact your child's teacher by email or call the main office at 332-8819 to make an appointment.
SPORTS
The High School basketball teams play at home today. Tonight is senior night as our senior basketball players and cheerleaders will be recognized. Game times are 4:30, 6:00, and 7:30.
The High School Region Wrestling tournament will be this weekend.
The last regular season middle school volleyball games will be held at home on Friday, February 10. They will play East Lake at 5 and Orchard Knob at 7. This will also be 8th grade recognition night. Please come out and support your Lady Panthers volleyball team!
High school softball conditioning is daily in the weight room from 2:30 – 4:00. All girls that plan to try out for the team should attend. You must have a physical on file or you need to get one before Monday. See Mrs. Turner if you have any questions.
Anyone interested in playing baseball this spring- see Coach Gandy.
